The next two topics of the VICS Optimal Care Summits program (formerly Victorian Tumour Summits) will be oesophagogastric cancer and endometrial cancer.
This statewide program is the mechanism in the Victorian Cancer Plan to agree priorities for reducing unwarranted variations in cancer care.
Each consultation starts with identifying and engaging multidisciplinary stakeholders across Victoria – Oncologists, nurses, GPs, palliative care specialists, allied health, and more.
If you are involved in care for patients with any of the cancer types above, please click the 'Stakeholder form' link(s) below and register your details with us to stay informed.
The information you provide will be used only by the VICS Optimal Care Summits team for recruiting each expert working group, consultation, surveys, prioritising variations, prioritising improvements, and summit invitations.
As part of each consultation, we are also collecting information about projects and initiatives already undertaken to improve cancer services in Victoria re the relevant tumour type.
If you are aware of any such work, specific to any of the topics below, please click the 'Environmental scan' link(s) below to let us know.
Further consultation and engagement, over several months, will lead up to a live 'summit' event for each topic as listed below:
