Lymphoma Summits

The Lymphoma 2015 Summit was attended by 67 multidisciplinary clinicians from across Victoria, and included representatives from Cancer Council Victoria and the Leukemia Foundation.

Lymphoma 2015 Summit Material

 

Summit Aims

The key aims of the Summit were to:

  • Review data and identify and prioritise service improvements

  • Consider local and state-wide initiatives

  • Collaborate and network.
     

The Summit identified key opportunities for improvement:

  • Optimising recruitment to lymphoma clinical trials

  • Facilitating better understanding of coding and the collection of data

  • Promoting consistent standards and effectiveness of multidisciplinary teams and meetings

  • Recognising the transition into adult care settings for adolescent and young adult care

  • Promoting systematic and equal access to supportive care

Prioritised Variations

The below prioritised variations were settled by the Summit clinical working party and communicated to the Victorian Integrated Cancer Services. 

 

The working party will continue their work in progressing these priorities in 2016.

  1. That VICS collect baseline data on the proportion of lymphoma patients with documented MDM recommendations and communicate to clinicians via their respective ICS.
